Philosophy and Principles of Agile
Agile is grounded in the values and principles outlined in the Agile Manifesto, emphasising collaboration, flexibility, and customer satisfaction. Key principles include iterative progress, adaptive planning, and delivering working software frequently to ensure responsiveness to change.
Lifecycle of an Agile Project
The Agile project lifecycle encompasses several phases: initiation, planning, execution, and review. Alternative configurations like Scrum or Kanban allow teams to tailor their approach based on project needs, enhancing adaptability and efficiency.
Products Produced During an Agile Project
Throughout an Agile project, various products are generated, including user stories, product backlogs, and increment releases. Each product serves a specific purpose: defining requirements, tracking progress, or providing working software that delivers value to stakeholders.
Techniques Used in Agile
Agile employs several techniques, such as time boxing, pair programming, and retrospectives. While these techniques enhance collaboration and productivity, they may also present limitations, such as requiring team members to adjust to new workflows and potential communication challenges.
Roles and Responsibilities in Agile
Agile projects involve specific roles, including the Product Owner, Scrum Master, and Development Team members. Each role carries distinct responsibilities, such as prioritising the backlog, facilitating team processes, and delivering quality increments, ensuring clarity and accountability within the team.
Our approved guide-level practitioners have a wealth of experience and deep expertise in agile methodologies.
