If you’re a Scrum Master with a year or more of experience, the Advanced Certified Scrum Master course helps you move from practitioner to Scrum specialist and coach. The Certified Scrum Master course introduced you to Scrum values, practices, and applications, giving you a level of knowledge and expertise beyond that of the typical project manager.

Prerequisites
Anyone can take this course with no restrictions on registration. However, to register for the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster certification with the Scrum Alliance, you must meet the following requirements:

Hold the Certified Scrum Master (CSM) status

Have one year’s experience working as a Scrum Master
This course requires a minimum attendance of 16 hours. As long as the A-CSM prerequisites are met, full attendance and participation will result in registration as an Advanced Certified Scrum Master.

Exam
There is no exam required to earn this certification, but in order to register for your A-CSM certification, you will need the following:
- Hold a valid CSM certificate
- Before attending the training, we request that you complete the A-CSM pre-course work. It is important that you do this to get the most from your training.
- Complete the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster course trained by a path to CSP Educator
- Provide at least 12-months of demonstrated Scrum Master experience by uploading your role-specific expertise to your Scrum Alliance Profile at the end of the course.
This course is accredited by the Scrum Alliance®, upon successful completion of this class and its learning objectives,; participants will receive the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster® certification.
What do I need?
In-Person Courses
- You do not need to bring a laptop or other equipment. A comprehensive workbook will be provided to all attendees.
- Refreshments, including lunch are included.
Online Courses
- We require delegates to use a laptop, computer or device with a large screen to ensure you can participate without the limitations of using a smaller device.

John McFadyen
John started in software development in 2002 and became involved the world of Agile and Scrum shortly after, first as a developer and later and a Scrum Master.
He became a Certified Enterprise Coach in 2015, served on the first review panel for Certified Team Coach from 2015 to 2018, and a Certified Scrum Trainer in 2018. John’s area of focus is on Scrum Master and Agile Coach development, from first steps all the way through the journey to mastery.

Cancellation is possible up to two weeks before the start of a course without cost. However, after that point, the full course fee is due regardless of whether the registered person participates in the course. Participants can be substituted without charge.

In-Person Training
Do I need to bring any equipment with me?
You do not need to bring a laptop or other equipment. A comprehensive workbook will be provided to all attendees, and you are welcome to take notes in that or in your own notepad.
Are refreshments included?
A complimentary continental breakfast will be served from 08:30; a hot buffet at lunchtime and fresh fruit, snacks and hot drinks are available throughout the day.
If you have any dietary requirements, please email us no later than five days prior to training to ensure your needs can be accommodated at training@agilecentre.com.
What should I wear?
The training is highly interactive and will involve lots of participation. You are invited to dress comfortably (jeans, trainers and even shorts & sandals will be perfectly fine!).
